the sale's over so keep ordering

Thanks to all of you that took advantage of the effing sale we stayed in the studio most of the weekend and out of the bars.  And we have the $ for printing a few things. Yay.

Now back to your regularly scheduled poetry price-gouging.

the effing chapbook sale will happen until 11:59pm Sunday. 

Orders are shipping as they come in. Effing boy Brooks Johnson is binding at a furious rate while I stuff envelopes and scream at the cat. All sale orders include gocco'd effing postcards, bookmarks, and signed Philip Trussell prints, and some include rare effing b-sides as well as original collage by yours truly. You have to really hit the mark for me to pick up scissors and a gluestick though. For i am slow like tortoise. Or was that porpoise.

the east coast is beating the pants off the west in the order tallies.

Houston, TX so far has made the largest donation (freakin' angel you are DL!) followed by Norwich, UK, followed by Nice, France.  praise your very skins, people! I'll bathe your children for you. I'll endorse your martyrdom. Whatever you like.

We rock steady through the heat. It's old hat 'round here. We carry on and chase shadows and put our bodies in creekwater and tequila and glide on through the times. Me and Effing Boy are binding and cutting books regularly and talking up a storm on the front and back steps of 703 W 11th. We watch the bluejays fight the mockingbirds for figs. We watch the doves line up on the powerlines. We mind the tomatoes and squash and the herb garden and make repairs to the house. We monitor the burst waterpipe underneath the back alley that the city has neglected to address.  We are looking for signs of sinkhole. We are mosquito farmers.  Our faces are red.  We wear jeans or nothing.  When we swim in Bee Creek we swim with catfish and cottonmouths.

jim goar likes poboys

Jim Goar breezed through Austin earlier this week en route to North Carolina. We enjoyed many beers and talks and a swim in the Matuk River as well as some oyster poboys and again with the beers, etc. Here is proof courtesy of Philip who worked our mugs into a collage. Nude models were not present during Jim Goar's stay.
